The Plant Paradise , a thriving botanical haven nestled in the heart of Kathmandhu, Nepal, is seeking a Nursery Management Intern to join our passionate team. This exciting opportunity will provide you with hands-on experience in plant care, nursery operations, and customer service within a dynamic horticultural setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management of day-to-day nursery operations, including plant propagation, watering, pruning, and pest control.
- Engage with customers to provide expert advice on plant selection, care, and maintenance, ensuring an exceptional shopping experience.
- Support the development and implementation of marketing strategies to promote Our Nursery through various channels, including social media, newsletters, and community events.
- Help maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular stocktakes, and coordinating plant deliveries.
- Contribute to the creation of engaging content for social media platforms, showcasing our diverse plant offerings and sharing gardening tips with our online community.
- Assist in the upkeep of the nursery facilities, including cleaning, organizing displays, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both customers and plants.
Requirements:
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Horticulture, Botany, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Passion for plants and a desire to learn about nursery management practices, including plant propagation, cultivation, and customer service.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with customers and provide accurate plant care advice.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills, capable of multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively in a dynamic work environment.
- Basic knowledge of plant biology and gardening techniques, with a willingness to expand your horticultural knowledge through hands-on experience.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a dedicated team of plant enthusiasts.
