Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Legal Researcher with a passion for exploring the complexities of judicial corruption in Nepal. The ideal candidate will have a strong legal background, excellent research skills, and a keen interest in conducting in-depth investigations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive research on issues related to judicial corruption in Nepal, including but not limited to bribery, nepotism, and misconduct.
- Analyze legal documents, court cases, and relevant legislation to identify trends and patterns of corruption within the judiciary.
- Prepare clear and concise reports summarizing research findings and recommendations.
- Stay informed about developments in the legal field, particularly those relevant to judicial integrity and ethics.
- Assist in drafting legal documents, briefs, and memos as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Prior experience in legal research, with a focus on issues of corruption and ethics.
- Strong understanding of research methodologies and citation standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
- Detail-oriented approach to work, with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
